Article 3. Courses & Memberships
Language Courses
A course provides access to the agreed number of in-person and/or online lessons.

After this initial period, the membership automatically continues for an indefinite period and may be cancelled on a monthly basis, subject to one (1) month's notice.
Article 4. Payment Terms
Payments are made via iDEAL or direct debit.
Language course fees may be paid in two (2) equal instalments.
When choosing a one-time payment, the full course fee must be paid before the first lesson starts.
If payment is made in two instalments:
- The first instalment must be paid before the first lesson.
- The second instalment must be paid within two weeks of the invoice date.
If payment is not received on time, ChitChat reserves the right to deny access to classes and/or the community until all outstanding payment obligations have been fulfilled.
Article 5. Cooling-off Period, Cancellation & Withdrawal
Statutory Cooling-off Period (Consumers)
For online registrations, private consumers have the right to withdraw from the agreement within fourteen (14) days of registration, free of charge and without providing a reason.
If, at the Student's explicit request, the course starts within this fourteen-day cooling-off period, the Student agrees that the service will begin immediately.
If the Student exercises the right of withdrawal after lessons have already been provided, ChitChat is entitled to charge a proportional fee for the lessons already delivered.
After the fourteen-day cooling-off period has expired, the course can no longer be cancelled during its term.
No refunds will be provided for cancelled or discontinued courses or any remaining instalments.
Article 6. Absence of Student or Teacher
If a Student misses an in-person or online lesson, that lesson is forfeited.
Missed lessons due to the Student's absence are not eligible for refunds or replacement lessons.
If a teacher is unable to teach due to illness or force majeure, ChitChat will make every reasonable effort to arrange a replacement teacher.
If this is not possible, the lesson will be rescheduled.
Article 7. Certificates & Best Efforts
Students who attend at least 80% of the lessons will receive a Certificate of Participation.
ChitChat undertakes a best-efforts obligation to support Students in achieving their desired language level.
However, ChitChat does not guarantee specific learning outcomes or results.

All Students and staff members are expected to treat one another with respect at all times.
